What I Hope My Future Clients and Team Will Know About Me

At the heart of every small business is a person with a story, a drive, and a vision. As the founder of Jones’s Burrow & Books, I’ve worn many hats—draftsman, business owner, partner, student—and with each role, I’ve learned more about what I value and how I want to show up in this profession.
Looking forward, as I continue to grow this firm—slowly and intentionally—I want to share a few things I hope my future clients and team will know about me.
I’m Invested in Every Project
Whether it's a simple as-built plan or a complex renovation draft, I pour my energy into the details. This work isn’t just about lines on paper—it’s about helping someone bring a vision to life. I take pride in being thoughtful, thorough, and communicative. I hope that clients feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported when they work with me.
I Value Relationships Over Speed
I’m not here to rush through projects or hit massive sales goals at the expense of quality. I want to build long-lasting partnerships—both with clients and team members—based on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. Every project is a chance to learn from each other and grow together.
I’m Still Learning—and That’s a Good Thing
Even after years in the field, I still feel like there’s so much more to absorb. I want my future team to know that questions are welcome, mistakes are learning moments, and curiosity is always encouraged. I hope to cultivate a work culture where everyone feels safe to grow, experiment, and improve.
I’m Building This for the Long Haul
I’m not chasing quick wins or trying to scale overnight. My goal is to build a firm that lasts—something steady, ethical, and grounded. That takes time, care, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way, even when it’s harder.
I Want This Business to Feel Like a Home
Whether you’re a team member joining the studio or a homeowner trusting me with your dream project, I want you to feel comfortable here. Not every day will be perfect, but I’ll always strive to lead with integrity, patience, and a sense of purpose.
If you’re thinking about working with me (with us)—or one day becoming part of this growing little business—thank you. I’m grateful for the trust, the support, and the opportunity to continue growing alongside good people.
